About

Ankush Pathania at work

I am an engineer, researcher, and innovator with a deep focus on IoT applications in energy systems, landslide monitoring, and renewable energy. My master's research at IIT Mandi produced a low-cost, subsurface landslide monitoring and early-warning system now operational across 50+ sites in Himachal Pradesh and beyond.

That research became the foundation for IntIoT Services Pvt. Ltd., a venture I co-founded to commercialise the technology nationally. Since FY 2021–22, the company has been profitable with multiple government contracts.

I now serve as Lead – Programs & Events at iCreate, Ahmedabad, designing and executing programs that accelerate deep-tech innovation across India. Previously, I was CEO of VLIIF, a DST-funded livestock-tech incubator, and Senior Associate at IIT Mandi iHub.

I am driven by a belief that affordable, well-engineered technology can save lives — from mountainside communities at landslide risk to farmers with no access to precision agriculture tools.

IoT-based subsurface system recording soil movement via accelerometer sensors, sending data to the cloud, and alerting residents via blinkers, sirens, and SMS. Deployed at 50+ locations. Funded by NDMA & DRDO.

Landslide Prediction with ML Algorithms
Applied statistical, machine learning, and deep learning models to predict landslides. Built a cloud system storing movement and weather data; sends global SMS alerts when soil movement exceeds predefined thresholds.

Project Manager for NVIDIA Jetson-based DAMS using algorithms trained on Indian driver datasets. Successfully piloted with Chandigarh Transport Undertaking to improve road safety.

An IoT platform utilising ceiling infrastructure to integrate all devices in commercial or residential buildings. Developed in collaboration with a US-based partner company.

Measures six pollutants (O₃, NO₂, CO, SO₂, PM1.0, PM2.5, PM10) and weather parameters. Features a smart predictive module forecasting air quality 30 minutes ahead, with SMS alerting.

Smart Sprinkler & Weather Station
Designed a low-cost, low-power self-powered automatic weather station coupled with a smart sprinkler that monitors soil moisture and automates irrigation using ML-based weather prediction.
